Gigabyte and Sapphire have unveiled reference versions of the new Radeon RX 6800 XT and RX 6800 graphics cards, sticking entirely to AMD's stock design.
AMD's board partners continue to show off their versions of the newly announced Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800. This time, images of cards from Gigabyte and Sapphire have surfaced online. Unfortunately, neither vendor is ready to delight fans with custom "Big Navi" designs just yet, opting instead to launch reference versions of the Radeon RX 6800 XT and Radeon RX 6800 in branded packaging.
Gigabyte was the first to unveil its reference Radeon RX 6800 series cards, priced at $679 for the Radeon RX 6800 XT and $549 for the Radeon RX 6800. As expected, these cards completely replicate AMD's reference design.
The same goes for Sapphire's versions, which is quite surprising since Sapphire is arguably AMD's most important and long-standing partner. Still, the company has also limited itself to reference copies for now:
As a quick reminder, here are the official specs for AMD's new cards:
The Radeon RX 6800 XT is powered by the Navi 21 XT GPU, featuring 72 compute units for a total of 4608 stream processors. It packs 16GB of GDDR6 memory running at 16 Gbps across a 256-bit bus, which delivers a theoretical bandwidth of 512 GB/s. The GPU has a 2015 MHz game clock and boosts up to 2250 MHz.
The Radeon RX 6800 XT also features 72 Ray Accelerators for hardware-accelerated real-time ray tracing. The card has a total board power (TBP) of 300W.
The lower-tier Radeon RX 6800 features a cut-down Navi 21 XL GPU with 60 active compute units (and 60 ray accelerators), yielding 3840 stream processors. Its game clock sits at 1815 MHz, with a boost clock of up to 2105 MHz.
The Radeon RX 6800 sports the same 16GB of GDDR6 memory running at 16 Gbps over a 256-bit bus, matching the RX 6800 XT's 512 GB/s bandwidth. The RX 6800's TBP is rated at 250W at stock speeds.
There is no word yet on when these Gigabyte and Sapphire models will hit shelves. However, the official launch for the Radeon RX 6800 series is set for November 18. The Radeon RX 6800 XT will retail for $649, while the non-XT Radeon RX 6800 will go for $579.
