The first unofficial benchmarks for the Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT NITRO+ have leaked, showing how the new graphics card stacks up against the competition.
Our colleagues at bilibili.com have posted the first benchmarks of the Sapphire NITRO+ Radeon RX 6700 XT, a relatively affordable graphics card.
For the CPU, the team used AMD's 12-core Ryzen 9 5900X.
On average, the beefier RX 6800 XT NITRO+ is about 50% faster than the RX 6700 XT NITRO+. This is quite interesting, considering that on paper, the RX 6800 XT is roughly 80% more powerful (4608 stream processors versus 2560). We can only speculate that the RX 6700 XT narrows the performance gap thanks to higher clock speeds on the Navi 22 GPU, but we can't say anything for sure about the new card's clock speeds right now.
Check out the full performance comparison below:
Sapphire RX 6700 XT NITRO+ 3DMark performance | Fire Strike Extreme | Fire Strike Ultra | Time Spy | Time Spy Extreme | Port Royal | Average |
|---|---|---|---|---|---|---|
Sapphire Radeon RX 6800 XT NITRO+ | 25824 | 12804 | 18052 | 8677 | 9210 | 152% |
Radeon RX 6800 XT | 25738 | 12772 | 17848 | 8583 | 9083 | 151% |
GeForce RTX 3080 | 21069 | 10854 | 17763 | 8862 | 11339 | 150% |
Radeon RX 6800 | 21374 | 10509 | 15062 | 7173 | 7604 | 126% |
GeForce RTX 3070 | 16573 | 8473 | 13480 | 6685 | 8034 | 113% |
Sapphire Radeon RX 6700 XT NITRO+ | 17435 | 8568 | 11921 | 5583 | 5891 | 100% |
Radeon RX 5700 XT | 12080 | 6503 | 9029 | 4369 | – | 75% |
Additionally, the RX 6700 XT NITRO+ is 25% faster than the RX 5700 XT and 13% slower than the GeForce RTX 3070.
Still, take this information with a grain of salt, as these benchmarks aren't official and were run on pre-release drivers.
