Epic Games Store starts free giveaway of Remnant: From the Ashes and Alto Collection

From August 13-20, Epic Games is gifting users of its EGS store the co-op souls-like action game "Remnant: From the Ashes" and the stylish indie adventure "Alto Collection." Remnant: From the Ashes is definitely the highlight here. The project is clearly inspired by Hidetaka Miyazaki's games like Dark Souls and Bloodborne. However, Remnant is quite unique, boasting interesting (sometimes even unique) mechanics and genuinely thrilling boss fights. Don't expect the meticulous detail of a Dark Souls title here; the game was made on a smaller budget. But if you give it a chance, it can deliver a ton of varied emotions, especially for fans of the souls-like genre.
