Discord is coming to PlayStation 4/5 in early 2022
Sony is partnering with Discord to integrate the chat platform into the PlayStation ecosystem, giving it a key advantage over Xbox starting early 2022.
Yesterday, Sony CEO Jim Ryan announced some interesting news: the Japanese company will collaborate with Discord to integrate the popular chat platform into the PlayStation ecosystem as early as 2022.
This is a significant development, as Sony console owners have been requesting Discord support for years. Yet, the Japanese giant remained indifferent to these pleas — until now, of course.
Details about this collaboration are scarce right now. However, it's quite clear that Sony isn't acquiring Discord, but rather investing in it and becoming a shareholder of sorts.
