Twitter user DreamcastGuy Is Reviewing Cyberpunk2077 posted a photo showing that when the game launches on December 10, Xbox Series X owners will have to download a massive 43.5 GB day-one patch of fixes and optimizations for the action-RPG:

Judging by recent gameplay leaks, this patch is absolutely critical for the game to run properly. We highly recommend making sure your Cyberpunk 2077 copy is fully updated before launching it on December 10. Otherwise, you might run into major issues, or even find the game completely unplayable.
Additionally, according to a Reddit post by user scorpo187, the update adds extra HDR settings and improves performance mode on Xbox Series X. The source claims the game now runs much smoother in performance mode.
