Cyberpunk 2077 and Phantom Liberty get hotfix 2.01, addressing bugs and improving performance across all platforms. Expect a ~14GB download.
Hotfix 2.01 for Cyberpunk 2077 and its "Phantom Liberty" expansion is now available on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S. The patch aims to fix common errors and bugs players frequently encountered. Additionally, 2.01 improves game performance across all platforms, with a particular focus on boosting framerates in the new Dogtown area.
The full patch notes are available on the project's official website. However, CD PROJEKT RED didn't include all the gameplay changes and improvements that were made to the game. Apparently, some surprises await, given the update's download size of approximately 14 GB.
As a separate reminder, the "Cyberpunk 2077: Phantom Liberty" story expansion launched just under two weeks ago, specifically on September 26. It's the final narrative expansion for the original game. However, this doesn't mean CDPR's Cyberpunk universe story is over. Once they finish patching bugs and errors in the DLC, the team will begin leisurely production on a sequel, which, according to recent statements, will switch to the Unreal Engine 5 game engine.
