CD Projekt RED has debunked rumors of microtransactions in Cyberpunk 2077, stating it's a single-player game with no additional purchases, just a one-time fee.
Recently, rumors started circulating online that the highly anticipated RPG Cyberpunk 2077 would feature microtransactions (additional in-game purchases for real money) in its multiplayer mode.
The developers at CD Projekt RED were quick to clarify the situation on the game's official Twitter account:

"Nothing has changed. Cyberpunk 2077 is a single-player game with absolutely no microtransactions. It's a one-time purchase. No hidden catches. Don't believe the clickbait."
This statement strongly suggests that even if Cyberpunk 2077 eventually gets a standalone multiplayer mode, it won't be ruined by notorious microtransactions.
