
Bungie will launch the upgraded version of Destiny 2 for PS5 and Xbox Series X on December 8, featuring 4K resolution at 60 FPS.
It's no secret that Bungie has been working on a next-gen upgrade for Destiny 2 for some time, but details on how the flagship shooter would actually run have been scarce. Yesterday, the studio finally announced the release date for PS5 and Xbox Series X/S, while sharing resolution and framerate targets for the next-gen version.
According to Bungie, Destiny 2 hits PS5 and Xbox Series X/S on December 8. The game will run at 4K and 60 FPS on both the PlayStation 5 and Xbox Series X, while the Xbox Series S version will be limited to 1080p at 60 FPS. Additionally, next-gen versions will finally feature an adjustable field of view (FOV) slider, a feature fans have been requesting for a long time. The setting will live right in the options menu.

Destiny 2 is currently available on PC, Xbox One, PS4, and Stadia. The optimized next-gen versions will arrive on December 8.
