According to reputable source Sleepy Kuma, Qualcomm's upcoming Snapdragon 875 SoC could be up to $100 more expensive than the company's current top-tier Snapdragon 865.

While the Snapdragon 865 SoC costs smartphone manufacturers $150-160, the Snapdragon 875 is rumored to come with a hefty $250 price tag. According to the same Sleepy Kuma, Xiaomi is currently discussing the pricing of their next flagship. Given the high cost of the Snapdragon 875 chip, a top-end product based on it could end up being $100-200 more expensive than current flagships.
If these rumors prove true, Android flagship smartphones could see a price hike in 2021. However, this development will likely make 2020 devices a more attractive option in terms of price-to-performance.
