Slovak overclocker ShaggySVK claimed silver in the Xeon W3520 standings, pushing the chip to 5461 MHz on liquid nitrogen for SuperPi - 1M.
Slovak overclocker ShaggySVK has secured second place in the model ranking for the youngest 8-thread Xeon processor in the LGA 1366 lineup.
The Intel Xeon W3520 processor was cooled with liquid nitrogen and pushed to a remarkable 5461 MHz—a 105.30% increase over its stock speed, especially impressive for a 45nm Bloomfield core. This allowed the enthusiast to complete the SuperPi - 1M benchmark with a time of 7 seconds, 359 milliseconds:
Meanwhile, the top spot has been held for two years by German overclocker ground, who achieved 7 seconds, 141 milliseconds with an insane W3520 overclock of 5628.8 MHz.
