British overclocker ObscureParadox has broken his own HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k record using a liquid nitrogen-cooled Phenom II X4 960T BE.
British overclocker ObscureParadox has broken his own three-day-old record, securing two gold medals: one in the AMD Phenom II X4 960T BE category and another in the overall 5-core ranking.
For cooling, he relied on the same liquid nitrogen pot that helped him push past the 6 GHz barrier and complete the HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4K at 2.137 fps:
Interestingly, the chip's frequency was 6363 MHz this time, compared to 6366 MHz in the previous run. The overclocker likely squeezed out the extra performance through further OS optimizations.
This result allowed ObscureParadox to reclaim gold in both the Phenom II X4 960T BE model category and the highly niche 5-core ranking.
The test bench consisted of the following components:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair IV Formula;
RAM: two 2 GB sticks of CORSAIR Dominator GT.
