Leaked Ashes of the Singularity benchmarks show the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti delivering roughly a 10% performance boost over the RTX 3070. But is its GDDR6X memory really worth it?
EnthusiastLeakbench tweeted a link to the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card's benchmark results in the popular Ashes of the Singularity.
To recap, the NVIDIA GeForce RTX 3070 Ti graphics card is based on the GA104-400 GPU, featuring 6144 active CUDA cores. Unlike the regular RTX 3070, which utilizes GDDR6 VRAM, the RTX 3070 Ti will come equipped with updated GDDR6X memory. Sadly, the VRAM capacity remains at the familiar 8GB.
Now, let's dive into the leaks:
The GeForce RTX 3070 Ti was only 10% faster than its existing sibling, the GeForce RTX 3070, when tested at 'High 1440p' graphics settings.

⤢ ВІДКРИТИIt's currently unclear how accurate or, more critically, how representative this data is. However, if a meager ~10% performance uplift from an RTX 3070 to an RTX 3070 Ti proves true, the shift from GDDR6 to the hotter and pricier GDDR6X VRAM might not be worth it.
Still, it's important to remember that Ashes of the Singularity isn't a definitive benchmark for graphics performance. Therefore, any more specific conclusions will only be possible once results from classic suites like 3DMark are published.
