Norman Reedus has confirmed that Death Stranding 2 is in development. Work on the sequel has already begun, but given its likely scale, it'll be a while before we see it.
In a recent interview with the portal Leo Edit, the American actor and lead star of Death Stranding confirmed that development on the highly-anticipated sequel has already begun.
The actor also shared an interesting tidbit about his role in the original game: Mr. Reedus stated that it took him nearly three years to complete all the motion capture sessions for Death Stranding.
It took me two or three years to finish all the MoCap sessions and everything. It's a lot of work. Then the game came out, and it just got all these awards, which was a huge deal, so we've just started the second part of it.
Given this, we probably won't see the Death Stranding sequel anytime soon. Even game designer Hideo Kojima hasn't really hinted at development for the second installment of his original project.
If you haven't yet delved into the elaborately crafted world of Death Stranding, now's a great time to catch up. This week, the Epic Games Store is hosting a massive sale, offering Hideo Kojima's acclaimed project, the expanded Director's Cut edition, with a modest 20% discount.
