The Intel Core i5-4460 in 2020: solid FPS in most games at moderate settings, except for Microsoft Flight Simulator.
RandomGaminginHD, a popular Western YouTube channel, is back with a new video, putting the aging but still common quad-core Intel Core i5-4460 to the test.
During the benchmarks, the chip ran at its stock frequency, teamed up with 8GB of dual-channel 1600MHz DDR3 RAM and a top-tier, last-gen GPU: the GeForce GTX 1080 Ti.

The data indicates that if you don't crank up graphics settings in modern titles, the Core i5-4460 can still deliver acceptable frame rates in most of the games tested. Microsoft Flight Simulator 2020 is the sole exception, but to be fair, even owners of high-end CPUs have complained about its poor performance.
