Gainward unveils its custom GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards

Gainward has unveiled its new GeForce RTX 30 Phantom series graphics cards, featuring factory overclocking, upgraded cooling, and higher TDP limits.

Palit Microsystems subsidiary GAINWARD has finally unveiled its custom GeForce RTX 3080 and RTX 3090 graphics cards based on NVIDIA's Ampere architecture.

Gainward introduced four new RTX 30-series models: the RTX 3090 Phantom "GS", RTX 3090 Phantom, RTX 3080 Phantom "GS", and RTX 3080 Phantom. The "GS" (Golden Sample) series features higher clock speeds and increased TDP. While all four models share the same cooler design, they use different PCBs.

Specs for the Gainward GeForce RTX 30 Phantom series graphics cards:

Model

Boost clock

TDP

Power connectors

RTX 3090 Phantom "GS"

1845 MHz +8.8%

420W +20%

As the table shows, both top-tier "GS" models feature significantly higher TDP limits, reaching 420W for the RTX 3090 and 370W for the RTX 3080. This power headroom allows Gainward to boost GPU clock speeds by 8.8% on the RTX 3090 and 7% on the RTX 3080.

Other notable features include standard PCIe power connectors and a massive triple-slot cooler with a mesh shroud, three fans, and RGB lighting on the GeForce RTX logo.
