
Electronic Arts is bringing its games and EA Access subscription back to Steam. Some titles are available now, but playing them still requires an EA account and the Origin client.
Quite unexpectedly, Electronic Arts announced yesterday in a press release that the company would bring its titles back to Steam, the digital game distribution service.
While EA Access won't launch until spring 2020, some games will arrive on Steam much sooner. For instance, the unreleased Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order is already available for pre-order via Valve's service:

No matter where you buy the game, you'll still need an EA account, but that's not all. You'll also have to install the Origin store client alongside your EA account.

The press release also mentions the upcoming launch of The Sims 4 and Unravel 2 on Steam by the end of 2019. Other games, such as Apex Legends, FIFA 20, and Battlefield V, will be available on Valve's platform significantly later, but by the end of 2020.
