Core i9 9900K at 7000 MHz: OGS sets a Geekbench3 record for the processor model
Greek overclocker OGS pushed the Intel Core i9 9900K to 7000 MHz, setting a Geekbench3 record for both the processor model and all 8-core CPUs.
Updates to benchmark results for mainstream CPUs like the Core i7 8700K or Core i9 9900K are rare these days. Most records are typically set within a few months of a chip's release.
That makes today's result even more impressive. Greek overclocker OGS, armed with an ASUS ROG Maximus XI Apex motherboard and liquid nitrogen, pushed an Intel Core i9 9900K processor to 7000 MHz:
