CD Projekt Red has detailed the system requirements for Cyberpunk 2077 across various graphics presets, resolutions, and ray tracing options.
The first system requirements for the highly anticipated Cyberpunk 2077 were released back in September. At the time, CD Projekt Red only shared the minimum and recommended specs, keeping quiet about the hardware needed for ray tracing.
Today, however, the Polish developer filled in the blanks and revealed the full system requirements for its long-awaited title:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe minimum PC configuration for a decent experience at 1080p on low settings remains virtually unchanged:
OS: Windows 7 or Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i5-3570K or AMD FX-8310;
RAM: 8 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 780 or AMD Radeon RX 470 (3 GB+);
Storage: 70 GB (SSD recommended).
However, the recommended specs for 1080p on high settings have been slightly updated:
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G;
RAM: 12 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA GTX 1060 / 1660 SUPER or AMD Radeon RX 590 (6 GB+) (previously, a Radeon R9 Fury was listed for AMD);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
In addition, CD Projekt Red detailed the system requirements for 1440p at ultra settings:
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G;
RAM: 12 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 2060 or AMD Radeon RX 5700 XT (6 GB+);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
They also shared the specs for 4K at ultra settings:
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
RAM: 16 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 2080 SUPER / RTX 3070 or AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT (8 GB+);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
And, of course, CDPR finally published the long-awaited hardware requirements for running the game with ray tracing enabled:
Ray tracing medium, 1080p:
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-4790 or AMD Ryzen 3 3200G;
RAM: 16 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 2060 (6 GB) (no AMD GPU listed);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
Ray tracing ultra, 1440p:
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
RAM: 16 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 3070 (8 GB) (no AMD GPU listed);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
Ray tracing ultra, 2160p (4K):
OS: Windows 10;
Processor: Intel Core i7-6700 or AMD Ryzen 5 3600;
RAM: 16 GB;
Graphics card: NVIDIA RTX 3080 (10 GB) (no AMD GPU listed);
Storage: 70 GB SSD.
Overall, even for 4K on ultra, Cyberpunk 2077's final system requirements are surprisingly modest. Things look even better for the mainstream 1080p crowd: the game is optimized for popular cards like the GTX 1060 and RX 590, meaning the vast majority of players will be able to enjoy it on high settings.
As for the hyped ray tracing features, CDPR's close partnership with NVIDIA suggests that ray tracing will likely perform better on Team Green's hardware. Still, we will have to wait for the actual release to see how it plays out.
