CD Projekt RED has delayed Cyberpunk 2077's release from April to September 2020. The studio says the extra time is needed to polish the game and ensure a higher-quality experience.
January 16th will now rightfully go down as a dark day for gamers. That's because yesterday, CD Projekt RED, the studio behind the highly anticipated RPG, pushed Cyberpunk 2077's release from April 15th to September 17th, 2020.

According to CD Projekt RED, the game is already complete, but the developers need extra time to polish the project.
Frankly, this isn't surprising, as Cyberpunk 2077 is an incredibly ambitious project. Plus, we all remember the rushed launch of Mass Effect: Andromeda — that game was riddled with bugs, making the experience downright painful.
Given this, it's clear (and we should accept) that if CD Projekt RED chose to delay their game for further refinement, it will only benefit the project. As for us gamers, we'll just have to be patient. It's always better to wait for a polished product than to play a rushed, buggy mess.
