At launch, Borderlands 3 will not support cross-platform gameplay, but work is underway.

Not so long ago, cross-play functionality was noticed as a feature for Borderlands 3 on the game's Microsoft Store page immediately after pre-orders opened.

However, Gearbox employees were quick to point out that cross-play is still under consideration and cannot be regarded as a game feature.

Now, Randy Pitchford has finally provided an update on the cross-play issue.

At the game's release, there will be no cross-platform features, but Gearbox is working in this direction with all parties (Sony, Microsoft, and Epic Games) to implement it as quickly as possible.
