AMD is thrilled with the popularity of its 3rd-gen Ryzen processors among enthusiasts and gamers. We've been closely monitoring product feedback and understand some 3rd-gen Ryzen users are reporting lower-than-expected overclocking clock speeds. Overclocking frequency depends on many factors, including workload, PC configuration, and cooling. After reviewing user feedback, we've identified an issue in our firmware that can, in certain situations, reduce overclocking frequency. We are currently preparing a BIOS update for our motherboard partners that will resolve this issue and provide further performance optimizations. On September 10, we'll provide the community with an update on BIOS availability.
