Low demand and mediocre performance are driving down prices for the 16GB GeForce RTX 4060 Ti in Europe, with further discounts on the horizon.
The 16GB GeForce RTX 4060 Ti's lack of marketing and mediocre performance seriously hurt its prospects, leading to critically low demand among mainstream graphics card consumers. Most likely, these weak sales are what prompted German retailer Mindfactory to drop the card's price below MSRP (Manufacturer's Suggested Retail Price).
Currently, the MSI GeForce RTX 4060 Ti Ventus 3X is available at Mindfactory for €519, €30 less than its launch price of €549. If this pricing experiment doesn't succeed, retailers will have to cut prices even further, with or without NVIDIA's intervention. It's possible that within a few months, the 16GB 'Ti' could drop to €499 or even lower.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИConsidering the card's performance and price, coupled with the abundance of previous-generation devices still on store shelves, it's abundantly clear that a significant price adjustment is the only way to boost sales of the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB. Chances are, this will happen soon.
However, we can't rule out the possibility that this promotion is merely one store's own initiative. Even if that's the case, it indicates that Mindfactory specifically isn't satisfied with the GeForce RTX 4060 Ti 16GB's current sales.
This is already NVIDIA's second graphics card that has failed to win over the market and consumers. Remember, the RTX 4070 Ti previously earned a similar dubious distinction.
