Ubisoft Forward featured new trailers for Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs: Legion, alongside Assassin's Creed Valhalla gameplay. Despite issues with rewards, Ubisoft promises to send them to all players.
Yesterday's online Ubisoft Forward presentation offered gamers a fresh look at cinematic trailers for Far Cry 6 and Watch Dogs: Legion, along with a gameplay overview of the new Assassin’s Creed Valhalla. The stream was divided into several parts and generally left a positive impression.
However, it wasn't without issues. During the previous event, viewers were promised rewards for watching Ubisoft Forward for a set amount of time. These included a free copy of Watch_Dogs 2 for 1 minute of viewing and a set of keys for chests in the MMOTPS The Division 2 for 40 minutes of viewing. But just 10 minutes into the stream, many viewers couldn't log into their Ubisoft accounts. Predictably, this sparked public outrage and thousands of dislikes on the official broadcast.
Ubisoft's management quickly moved to resolve the issue. The official Ubisoft Forward event page now displays the following message:
We hope you enjoyed Ubisoft Forward! We're sorry you experienced issues getting rewards during the show. We will make sure that everyone with a Ubisoft account will be rewarded with everything that was supposed to be available during the presentation.
It's currently unclear when the free Watch_Dogs 2 copies and The Division 2 chest keys will arrive in players' accounts. However, Ubisoft isn't likely to delay the rollout much longer; a hit to their image would certainly cost more than a few thousand copies of the older Watch_Dogs 2.

With the bad news out of the way, let's move on to the good stuff: the cinematic trailers for the AAA projects shown:

The cinematic trailer for Watch Dogs: Legion, the third installment in the Watch Dogs series, plunged gamers into the grim reality of a future London. Here, resistance against the new order is met with the full force of new laws. Protesters must band together and fight back against the city's new authorities to reclaim control of London. Incidentally, the Legion trailer's style strongly resembles "The Witness," an episode from the excellent series "Love, Death & Robots." If you haven't seen it, check it out.
Beyond the cinematic, Ubisoft Forward also showcased a Watch Dogs: Legion gameplay overview. However, we didn't learn anything new compared to the project's previous presentations:

Watch Dogs: Legion is set to release on Xbox One, PlayStation 4, and PC on October 29, 2020. The game will also be available on Xbox Series X and PlayStation 5 in the future.
The Far Cry 6 trailer introduced us to the franchise's main villain, Antón Castillo (played by Giancarlo Esposito, known for "Breaking Bad"), and his son Diego. According to the developers, the story in this installment receives significantly more attention than in previous entries. Information suggests Antón Castillo initially became president through legitimate means. However, to rule indefinitely, he drastically rewrote the constitution to suit his agenda. This power grab didn't go unnoticed, and protests erupted across the country. While Far Cry 6 gameplay wasn't shown, we know it's designed to make players truly feel like part of the resistance.
There's also a theory circulating online that dictator Diego's son is none other than Far Cry 3's antagonist Vaas, but there's no official confirmation of this.

Based on the Assassin’s Creed Valhalla gameplay trailer, Ubisoft drew significant inspiration from the acclaimed project The Witcher 3. The game will feature numerous small quests and mini-games to break up the main storyline. For instance, as you ride through a village, locals might ask you to deal with bothersome wolves. Additionally, the game will have many bosses and mini-bosses, and the "assassin's kill" mechanic will change:
