Yesterday, the AnandTech forums saw the first real photo of an AMD Raphael chip (Zen 4 architecture), specifically a Ryzen 7 7700X. This 8-core, 16-thread processor boasts a maximum clock speed of 5400MHz and a 105-watt TDP.

Rumors suggest this model will retail between $299 and $340, putting it in line with the previous generation's 8-core Ryzen 7 5700X. If the Ryzen 7 7700X manages to outperform the potent Ryzen 7 5800X3D gaming CPU, that price point would be an absolute steal for many gamers.
As a reminder, the Ryzen 7000 chip launch has been pushed back to September 27, meaning we won't see initial reviews before the 20th to 30th of that month.
