Overclocker Takukou has set two world performance records for the AMD Ryzen 3 3100 processor, pushing it to 5650-5700 MHz.
A few months ago, Takukou (of the TecLab_China team) made a name for himself overclocking AM4 platform processors, though that involved the expensive, monstrous 16-core AMD Ryzen 9 3950X. This time, the overclocker decided to tackle records with a processor from the lower price segment.
With a particularly capable Ryzen 3 3100 chip in hand, the Chinese enthusiast managed to push it to frequencies between 5650-5700 MHz (depending on the benchmark). This earned him two gold medals in the model category for AMD's 4-core, 8-thread chip. According to CPU-Z, the CPU voltage reached 1.704 volts. The chip was mounted on a high-end MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE motherboard and cooled with liquid nitrogen.
Benchmarks and results:
Benchmark | Result | CPU frequency |
1min 43sec 633ms | 5700 MHz | |
29729 points | 5650 MHz |
Takukou's test bench included the following components:
Motherboard — MSI MEG X570 GODLIKE (MS-7C34) Bios 1.80O1
RAM — two 8GB G.SKILL Trident Z Royal F4-4000C15-8GTRS modules
Operating system - Windows 10
