Overclocker Splave smashed the GPUPI - 1B record for the GeForce GTX 980 Ti, pushing the graphics card to 1894.5 MHz with liquid nitrogen.
American overclocker Splave had a highly productive benchmark session. Results from that week are still surfacing on HWBot.
Today, the enthusiast revealed the results of his NVIDIA GeForce GTX 980 Ti experiments in the GPUPI - 1B discipline:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИArmed with liquid nitrogen, Splave pushed the GPU core frequency to 1894.5 MHz. However, he only managed to get the GDDR5 memory to 7200 MHz. These clocks were enough to secure the American enthusiast the top spot in the graphics card's model ranking.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИSplave's test rig consisted of these components:
Processor — Core i7-7740X clocked at 4,497.8 MHz (essentially its stock frequency)
Motherboard — ASRock X299 OC Formula
Graphics card — ASUS GTX 980 Ti 6 GB Matrix Platinum (my assumption, based on the GPU-Z Device ID)
Power supply — Enermax MaxTytan 1250W
