Splave set a 10-core record with an Intel Core i9-10900X processor

After a brief hiatus, American overclocker Splave is back on the competitive scene with an impressive new record.

Armed with his favorite ASRock X299 OC Formula (LGA 2066) motherboard, the enthusiast pushed an Intel Core i9-10900X chip to 5990 MHz, securing two first-place finishes: one for the specific CPU model and another in the overall 10-core CPU category.

Beyond the motherboard, the American overclocker only listed an Enermax Maxtytan 1250W power supply and Thermal Grizzly Kryo LHE thermal paste. The other components of his test bench weren't disclosed.
