American overclocker Splave set three new records for the AMD Ryzen 5 5600X, pushing the processor to 5800-5850 MHz.
American overclocker Splave continues his winning streak across the rankings of AMD's latest processors. This time, he turned his attention to the 6-core, 12-thread Ryzen 5 5600X.
Pushing the processor to 5800-5850 MHz (depending on the benchmark), the enthusiast set three records in the Ryzen 5 5600X category and secured three first-place finishes in the overall 6-core rankings:
Benchmark: | Result: | CPU frequency: |
46,813 points | 5800 MHz | |
20.651 fps | 5800 MHz | |
1 min 17 sec 889 ms | 5850 MHz |
For his test bench, the enthusiast used the same hardware as during his Ryzen 9 5950X benchmarks: an LN2 pot (likely from Kingpin), a flagship ASRock X570 Aqua motherboard, and a 16 GB G.SKILL F4-3800C14-8GTZN RAM kit consisting of two 8 GB modules.
Notably, the overclocker didn't hit 6 GHz this time, unlike during his 5950X overclock. However, Splave might simply be holding his cards close to his chest, with even stronger Ryzen 5 5600X results waiting for the right moment to be revealed.
