Overclockers smile-777 and ShaggySVK have set new records on the Radeon RX 6800 XT and GeForce GTS 250 leaderboards.
Russian overclocker smile-777 took first place in the AMD Radeon RX 6800 XT leaderboard. To hit this milestone, the enthusiast pushed the RX 6800 XT GPU to 2800 MHz and overclocked the GDDR6 memory to 17,040 MHz. An AMD Ryzen 9 5950X running at 5588 MHz also helped secure the record. Ultimately, the bench session yielded a score of 30,648 points in 3DMark Fire Strike Extreme:
The test bench also featured a GIGABYTE B550 AORUS PRO AC motherboard.
Slovak overclocker ShaggySVK, meanwhile, went with a blast from the past, experimenting with an ASUS GeForce GTS 250 Dark Knight (ENGTS250). Cooling the vintage GPU with a phase-change setup, he managed to squeeze out an impressive 999 MHz core clock and a somewhat odd 2548 MHz on the GDDR3 memory (a speed attainable even without extreme cooling). This was enough to propel ShaggySVK to the top of the 3DMark06 leaderboard for this specific graphics card:
Like the previous record holder, ShaggySVK didn't go into detail about his full test setup, only listing an Intel Core i9-9900K clocked at 5700 MHz and an ASUS ROG Maximus IX Apex motherboard.
