Greek enthusiast OGS broke the world record in 3DMark 2005 for the three-graphics-card category. He achieved this using two physical GPUs, one of which was the dual-chip ASUS ARES.
Greek enthusiast OGS is quite adept at GPU overclocking and modifications. Last year alone, he racked up hundreds of impressive results, including several world records.
Today, he put two distinct, power-hungry Radeon R9 290X and Radeon R9 295X2 graphics cards to the test. A clarification is needed here: OGS used only two physical cards to set a record in the three-graphics-card category. This is easily explained: one of the cards was the dual-chip ASUS ARES.
It's hard to say how legitimate this 'loophole' is, but given that HWBot administrators don't remove similar results, it's safe to assume it's legitimate and doesn't violate any rules.

⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo achieve such an impressive result, OGS used a Core i9-9900K processor overclocked to 7240MHz, paired with a top-tier ASUS ROG Maximus XI Apex motherboard.
The three 28-nanometer Hawaii GPUs were pushed to 1100MHz, while their video memory ran at 5000MHz.

OGS's fellow overclockers acknowledged the ASUS ARES as a potent tool in skilled hands. American enthusiast Splave even hinted that he'd soon surpass OGS's score.
