Finnish overclocker Luumi has broken Splave's Cinebench R15 10-core record, scoring 3393 points with an Intel Core i9-7900X. He bested the American by just 3 points.
Yesterday's 10-core record, set by American overclocker Splave, didn't even last a full day. Just a few hours ago, Finnish overclocker Luumi updated the American's score, setting a new record in the 10-core Cinebench R15 discipline:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИRemarkably, to achieve such an impressive score, the Finnish enthusiast used a rather old Core i9-7900X chip (Splave used a Core i9-10900X), overclocked to 5970MHz. Luumi hit 3393 points, beating the American by just 3 points.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИBesides the confirmation screenshots, the Finnish overclocker also posted a video of his bench session, which you can watch below:

Judging by the publication date, Luumi actually set this record back on February 9, 2020, and was just waiting for the right moment to release it. This is a common practice among top overclockers, so it's quite possible that Splave also has a more impressive result tucked away, and is simply waiting for the opportune moment to upload it to the HWBot database.
In any case, if that's true, we'll find out soon enough. It's already morning in America (at the time of writing), so Splave will quickly notice he's been knocked off the top spot.
But let's get back to the Finn's test setup. Of the known components, aside from the already-announced processor, the enthusiast only listed an EVGA X299 DARK motherboard and a 2000-watt Super Flower 8Pack power supply.
