French overclocker Jimshown LMHF secured a gold medal in the y-cruncher - Pi-1b benchmark, competing with 24-thread AMD Ryzen 9 7900X processors. He also achieved a third-place spot in the overall 12-core ranking.
The enthusiast didn't reinvent the wheel, instead opting for the proven ASUS ROG Crosshair X670E Gene motherboard. This board has already established itself as a top performer for AM5 CPU overclocking. Leveraging its capabilities, Jimshown LMHF managed to push the notoriously hot and power-hungry Ryzen 9 7900X chip to a remarkable 5402 MHz across all 12 cores and 24 threads.
