Overclockers Rauf and Hicookie have already pushed the Intel Core i9-11900K to 6.5 GHz and 7 GHz, setting two new benchmark records.
Intel's new 8-core Core i9-11900K processor is already in the hands of early enthusiasts. They wasted no time exploring its frequency potential and measuring its performance.
Swedish overclocker Rauf and Taiwanese overclocking veteran Hicookie have each set a record in the model standings for Intel's brand-new 16-thread Core i9-11900K.
The Swedish overclocker chose Cinebench R20 as his discipline. By pushing the chip to 6530MHz, he earned a gold medal for first place in the i9-11900K model standings, and, quite impressively, also secured the top spot among all 8-core CPUs:
Liquid nitrogen cooled the processor, and the test bench consisted of the following components:
Motherboard - ASUS ROG Maximus XIII Apex;
RAM - GALAX Hall of Fame;
Power supply - ASUS ROG Thor 1200 watts.

Hicookie's test bench consisted of the following components:
Motherboard - GIGABYTE Z590 AORUS Tachyon;
RAM - GIGABYTE DDR4 2400.
