The developers of Halo Reach have released the PC system requirements, which turned out to be surprisingly modest, even for 4K. Gamers are impressed.
343 Industries has shared the PC system requirements for Halo Reach. The team that optimized the game for PC clearly did an excellent job, as the minimum requirements are surprisingly low:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo run the game, you'll need at least an AMD Phenom II X4 960T or Core i3-550 CPU, along with a Radeon HD 6850 or GeForce GTS 450 GPU. It's safe to say these components haven't been considered "minimum" system requirements for at least 5-7 years.
Halo Reach gets a bit more demanding at 1080p, but these are still incredibly reasonable requirements. See for yourself:
For comfortable gameplay at 61-62 frames per second, you'll need an AMD FX-4100 or Core i7-870 CPU and a Radeon R7 360 or GeForce GTX 560 Ti graphics card.
Naturally, the developers also considered gamers with 4K monitors. To hit that coveted 60 FPS at 3840x2160 resolution, you'll need an AMD FX-6350 or Core i5-3450 CPU and an AMD Radeon RX 480 (seriously?) or NVIDIA GeForce GTX 770 graphics card.
The only slightly puzzling detail is that the testing team compared the Radeon RX 480 graphics card to the GeForce GTX 770. Whether that holds true remains to be seen until the game's release.
Previously, the PC version of Halo Reach was expected by the end of this year, but rumors now suggest the game's release has been pushed to early 2020.
