NVIDIA introduced RTX ray tracing at Gamescom 2019. This revolutionary technology has seen widespread adoption among partners.
Gamescom 2019 kicked off with an NVIDIA presentation. The Santa Clara company showcased updates from its partners supporting their RTX ray tracing technology.
A year after NVIDIA introduced real-time ray tracing to gaming, this revolutionary technology has seen widespread adoption across the industry. Looking at the number of games, famous franchises, and exciting visual effects at our Gamescom 2019 event, it's clear that ray tracing has arrived and truly is a step forward for game development.
NVIDIA also provided a slew of screenshots and trailers for each RTX-supported franchise. You can check them out below:

This last game is truly transformed the most. As strange as it may sound, RTX for Minecraft is an incredibly beneficial technology.
Surprisingly, there are quite a few projects. NVIDIA has put in a lot of effort. It's commendable that the company is effectively promoting this new technology to the world on its own. However, it's important to understand that no matter how hard they try, one company alone can't win the war. Intel and AMD also need to release their ray tracing-enabled products; only then will the technology truly go mainstream.
And that won't happen anytime soon. AMD intends to introduce updated RDNA2 with ray tracing support only next year, and Intel, according to Raja Koduri's interview, not for another couple of years.
