American overclocker Splave has finally managed to break the 4 GHz GPU clock speed barrier on an RTX 4090 graphics card. While titans like CENS, OGS, and Rauf had previously attempted this feat, they only ever got close to that frequency.
True to form, Splave once again opted for a heavily modified ASUS ROG Matrix GeForce RTX 4090. Unfortunately, it's unknown how many samples he tested to find that 'golden' chip. However, considering the numerous attempts to reach 4 GHz, it's safe to assume he went through quite a few.
The American's benchmark session resulted in two gold medals in the discipline GPUPI v3.3 - 32B, scoring 45.402 seconds:

A historic 4000 MHz! The ASUS Matrix RTX 4090 is the real deal. Thanks to ASUS, ASRock, and G.Skill. This was all made possible by ENERMAX.
