These exciting announcements naturally got many gamers asking one obvious question: "Will I need to upgrade my PC to play the remake?" Fortunately, the answer seems to be no.
Last night, the system requirements for Diablo II: Resurrected were finally revealed.
To play the remaster at 720p on low settings, you will need the following hardware:
OS: Windows® 10;
Processor: Intel Core i3-3250 / AMD FX-4350;
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 660 / AMD Radeon HD 7850;
RAM: 8 GB;
Storage: 30 GB.
This means almost anyone will be able to run the remake at minimum settings. However, the recommended specs for 1080p gaming at high settings are a bit more demanding, especially given today's graphics card prices:
OS: Windows® 10;
Processor: Intel® Core i5-9600k / AMD Ryzen 5 2600;
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1060 / AMD Radeon RX 5500 XT;
RAM: 16 GB;
Storage: 30 GB.
Still, if you managed to snag an RX 5500 XT or GTX 1660 before the second crypto boom hit, you have absolutely nothing to worry about.
Diablo II: Resurrected is slated for release sometime in 2021 on PC, PS5, PS4, Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Nintendo Switch.
