Crysis Remastered's system requirements are surprisingly accessible. Both the minimum and recommended configurations are quite low, a pleasant surprise for many.
If you were around for the original Crysis launch, you'll probably remember just how demanding the first game in the alien-and-nanosuit franchise was. We're talking NVIDIA GeForce 8800 GTS with a whopping 640MB of VRAM, yet even that beast of a graphics card for its era couldn't guarantee decent FPS in the original Crysis.
So, what system requirements does Crysis Remastered have in store for us?
Turns out, it's all quite modest. To enjoy the remaster at minimum graphics settings, you'll need the following PC configuration:
Windows 10 64-bit
CPU - Core i5-3450 or Ryzen 3;
Graphics card - GeForce GTX 1050 Ti or Radeon RX 470;
RAM - 8 GB;
Disk space - 20 GB.
These are currently very accessible components for most gamers, which is great news. At this point, you might reasonably expect high graphics settings to finally reveal the game's "greedy" nature, pushing hardware requirements through the roof. However, that's not the case at all. Even the recommended requirements are surprisingly low:
Windows 10 64-bit
CPU - Core i5-7600K or Ryzen 5;
Graphics card - GeForce GTX 1660 Ti or Radeon RX Vega 56;
RAM - 12 GB;
Disk space - 20 GB.
Impressive. Saber Interactive, the studio behind Crysis Remastered, has clearly put in the work. Now, we just need to see how these claims hold up in practice and await independent benchmarks of the updated "graphics card devourer" from 2007.
