Chispy set a rare 3DMark Vantage record with 4 AMD RX 590s. During his experiments, an ASRock X299 OC Formula motherboard failed.
It's become incredibly rare to see significant results using four graphics cards at once. Honestly, I can't even remember the last time I wrote about a quad-GPU record. But today, we got lucky.
Beyond the sheer significance of this gold medal, the Puerto Rican enthusiast left some pretty insightful comments with his record, giving us a peek into his testing process.
According to his posts, chispy spent a total of two weeks achieving this result. Beyond the (by industry standards, at least) terrible time investment, the overclocker ran into problems finding a suitable and stable driver to get four AMD Radeon RX 590 graphics cards working correctly.
Finally, the Puerto Rican reported that his test motherboard, an ASRock X299 OC Formula, died during the experiments, forcing him to switch to a backup EVGA X299 Dark board.
Chispy's benchmark session in 3DMark Vantage concluded with a score of 112,007 marks:

Thanks, my brother Sharon :), (shar00750 – an Israeli overclocker). I spent a lot of time (2 weeks working on this) and huge effort getting this result, both with drivers and CrossFire-X with four GPUs – it's a real pain to make it work correctly. While trying to set this record, I lost my ASRock X299 OC Formula and am now using my backup EVGA X299 Dark board. R.I.P my beloved ASRock X299 OC Formula :( Thanks Nazar :), (Nazar – a Russian overclocker). It's always great to hear from good old friends. I'm having trouble getting them to scale in Fire Strike, as GPU usage drops from 100% to 40% in the middle of the test. Any ideas, help, or advice, brother? 'подякувати мій друг'. (The last part is literally written in Russian; chispy likely used Google Translate to please Nazar.)
The test bench specs were as follows:
CPU: Intel Core i9-9980XE, overclocked to 5237MHz (+74.57% over stock frequency)
Motherboards: ASRock X299 OC Formula and EVGA X299 Dark (151-SX-E299-KR)
RAM: G.SKILL Flare X 4x 8GB (F4-3200C14-8GFX)
PSU: EVGA SuperNOVA P2 1600W
Based on our research (or rather, investigation, since the Puerto Rican didn't specify the exact GPU models), chispy used four XFX RX 590 8GB Fatboy OC+ graphics cards:

For our part, we'd like to congratulate chispy on such a significant achievement. We can only wish him one thing: to stop losing hardware on the battlefield of experimentation.
