Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300: Bullshooter's Records in SuperPi, wPrime

German overclocker Bullshooter has claimed four records in the 45nm, quad-core Intel Core 2 Quad Q9300 processor category across SuperPi - 1M, SuperPi - 32M, wPrime - 32m, and wPrime - 1024m benchmarks.

But before we get to those, let's start with his second-place finish in the overclocking category for the same chip.

Using the relatively popular Gigabyte EP45T-UD3P motherboard, Bullshooter managed to overclock the Core 2 Quad Q9300 to an impressive 4226MHz. According to the CPU-z database, the core voltage was 1.776 volts, and the bus speed was set to 563MHz, which, combined with a 7.5x multiplier, resulted in the final frequency.

The DDR3 RAM was simultaneously overclocked to 1352MHz with latencies of 6-6-5-18-2 (tCAS-tRC-tRP-tRAS-tCR). Notably, the setup included two 2GB Corsair CM3X2G2000C8GT sticks.

Let's move on to the benchmarks.

In SuperPi - 1M, the processor frequency dropped to 4202MHz, achieving a final result of 11 seconds, 781 milliseconds:

For the more demanding SuperPi - 32M, the frequency dropped even further to 4125MHz, resulting in a time of 10 minutes, 55 seconds, and 422 milliseconds:

In wPrime - 32m, the German enthusiast maintained a frequency of 4232MHz, which ultimately earned him a result of 8 seconds, 968 milliseconds:

Finally, in wPrime - 1024m, the frequency was 4220MHz, with a time of 4 minutes, 47 seconds, and 407 milliseconds:

Besides the Gigabyte EP45T-UD3P motherboard, Core 2 Quad Q9300 processor, and Corsair CM3X2G2000C8GT RAM, the only other component the enthusiast listed was a GeForce GT 710 graphics card.

It's also worth noting that an optimized version of Windows XP was used as the operating system.
