One of today's most renowned overclockers, safedisk, has successfully pushed a very high-end CPU. He managed to boost the 24-core Xeon w7-2495X processor to an impressive 5416 MHz. Notably, all 24 cores remained active, though for stability, the enthusiast had to disable Hyper-Threading.
The enthusiast's test rig boasted a top-tier LGA4677 motherboard, the ASUS Pro WS W790E-SAGE SE, paired with a G.SKILL Zeta R5 RAM kit and an ASUS ROG THOR power supply.
The CPU itself was cooled with liquid nitrogen, enabling the enthusiast to secure the top spot among all 24-core chips and claim first place for the Xeon w7-2495X in the y-cruncher - Pi-1b benchmark.
