Skate 4, the highly anticipated skateboarding simulator, is finally making its way to PC. This marks a first for the series. However, the game is still deep in early development, meaning we've yet to hear about control optimizations or a release date.
The official Skate franchise Twitter account dropped some absolutely stunning news yesterday. For the first time in the series' history, Electronic Arts, the publisher and sole owner of the Skate franchise, has greenlit a PC version of the game.

Beyond current-gen consoles, the upcoming fourth installment of the skateboarding simulator will also land on Origin (and likely Steam too, given EA's excellent relationship with Valve right now).
It's currently unclear how Skate's unique control scheme, which relies on analog stick manipulation for all tricks, will adapt to PC. Since the developers have never ported their projects to computers before, there's a small chance PC players will still need a compatible controller for comfortable gameplay.
Skate 4 itself is currently in early development, meaning the project won't be getting a trailer, let alone an official release date, anytime soon.
