German overclocker CENS set a new record by pushing an RTX 4090 to 3930/21008 MHz, nearly hitting the 4 GHz mark. He bested OGS and secured two gold medals.
Last night, German overclockerCENS surpassed OGS's impressive GPUPI v3.3 - 32B benchmark, securing two gold medals.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИFor his experiments, the German enthusiast opted for a rather expensive Colorful GeForce RTX 4090 Vulcan OC-V. The card's stock cooling system was replaced with a liquid nitrogen evaporator, allowing him to get tantalizingly close to the coveted 4GHz GPU clock speed. While he couldn't quite break that barrier, it's still an incredibly significant achievement.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe graphics adapter's final boost clock hit 3930/21008MHz, resulting in a time of 46.383 seconds:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИNotably, the enthusiast managed to push GPU frequencies significantly higher than his direct rival on the leaderboard, OGS:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИStill, don't expect such a significant frequency jump to become common anytime soon; it took the enthusiast just under half a year to achieve this. Therefore, it's quite probable that the coveted 4GHz GPU clock speed won't be reached in the near future. But who knows? The world of professional overclocking moves fast, and today's records could be pushed out of the top three medalists by tomorrow.
