American overclocker keeph8n has set a new record for the AMD Ryzen 5 3600X chip model, reaching 5200 MHz in the HWBOT x265 4k benchmark.
American overclocker keeph8n has been absent from the HWBot homepage for quite a while. That's understandable; his country is currently facing one of the world's most serious and challenging situations. However, self-isolation can still provide the impetus for processor overclocking experiments.
keeph8n did just that. He acquired a solid sample of the six-core, twelve-thread AMD Ryzen 5 3600X chip and pushed it to 5200 MHz, setting a new record in the HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k, albeit only for the specific processor model:
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe final score was 16.931 frames per second. It's important to clarify that this is the most demanding version of the benchmark, with the CPU rendering images at 4K resolution.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИThe American's test bench included the following components:
Motherboard: ASUS ROG Crosshair VIII Impact
Cooling: Kingpin Cooling liquid nitrogen pot
RAM: Teamgroup Xtreem, 2x 8 GB modules (TEAMGROUP-UD4-4500)
Graphics card: NVIDIA GeForce GT 1030
In the comments section for his record, the author thanked ASUS and Kingpin Cooling for their support:
