American overclocker Splave pushed the Intel Core i9-10900KF to 6,870 MHz using liquid nitrogen, setting a new world record in the 10-core category.
American enthusiast Splave got his hands on a golden sample of the flagship 10-core, 20-thread Intel Core i9-10900KF processor (and possibly more than one). After a highly productive benchmarking session, the overclocker set several records in the HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo start, the American lapped and polished the IHS of his Core i9-10900KF to a perfect finish. He then applied Thermal Grizzly Kryonaut Extreme thermal paste and used a liquid nitrogen pot to push the chip to an impressive 6870 MHz:
The CPU achieved an impressive 31.747 FPS in the HWBOT x265 Benchmark - 4k (his closest rival, South Korean overclocker Safedisk, managed 31.59 FPS). This run secured Splave first place in the Core i9-10900KF ranking and, more importantly, earned him a gold medal in the global 10-core category.
Splave's test bench consisted of the following components:
Motherboard: ASRock Z490 Aqua (a special version featuring two DDR4 memory slots);
Power supply: Enermax Maxtytan 1250W;
Operating system: Windows 8.1.
