Destiny 2: Shadowkeep's "Season of the Undying" will introduce a new raid and PvP overhaul. The fourth major expansion is approaching, bringing four seasons of content.
Destiny 2's fourth major expansion, Shadowkeep, is launching soon. Bungie hasn't significantly altered its content distribution model, so we're again getting four seasons.
The first of these will be the "Season of the Undying." Its activities are detailed in the roadmap Bungie recently published. The new season includes a fresh raid, a new PvP mode, exotic quests, and the brand-new "Vex Offensive" activity.
Beyond all that, Bungie will seriously rework some PvP mechanics. For example, character ultimates will recharge slower, but they'll also deal more damage.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИAll of this kicks off shortly after Shadowkeep's October launch and runs until the end of November, when the "Season of the Undying" concludes. Typically, Destiny 2 seasons last three months. It's possible we're missing something, and Bungie has prepared a surprise due to the season's short duration. We won't have to wait long to find out.
In their latest blog post, Bungie also detailed some of the changes coming to Destiny 2 with Shadowkeep's launch.
In preparation for the "Vex Offensive," most in-game weapons will receive significant buffs, and weapon mods will become reusable. Currently, if you haven't played in a while, installing a mod consumes it from your inventory. According to Bungie, mods will now function like Guardian spawn effects—in other words, they'll be infinite.
Destiny 2: Shadowkeep launches on October 1st for PC, Xbox One, and PS4, priced at $35 for the standard edition and $60 for the version with the Annual Pass.
