Deep Silver Volition has released the PC system requirements for Saints Row, and they look surprisingly steep for the game's graphics, which might suggest poor optimization.
Deep Silver Volition has finally shared the official system requirements for their upcoming project, "Saints Row." The publisher had been slow to inform the public about the minimum hardware required for the game, which was quite strange considering the new installment is less than a week away from launch. After the official announcement, it became abundantly clear why.
⤢ ВІДКРИТИConsidering the rather unremarkable graphics for a 2022 release, Saints Row's minimum system requirements seem, to put it mildly, inflated. While the required CPU appears quite adequate — an i3-3240 chip hasn't been listed in the system requirements of any AAA game for a long time — the need for a GeForce GTX 970 or AMD Radeon RX 470 graphics card is unconvincing.

The same can largely be said for the recommended setup for comfortable 1080p/60FPS gaming. Even in 2022 (excluding ray tracing), the GTX 1070 and RX 5700 are powerful cards that should easily handle Saints Row's graphics, even at higher resolutions.
Looking at the full list of required components for each graphics quality preset, it's quite concerning: Volition's game is most likely heading for another subpar optimization, as has become typical.
