Serbian overclocker d0minat0r has achieved a truly remarkable overclock with the Intel Core i5-2500K processor. The record in this specific CPU category remained unbroken since February 28, 2012!
To hit his target, the enthusiast employed a phase change cooling system. This, combined with a meticulous selection of a golden sample chip, allowed the Serbian overclocker to push the CPU frequency to 6025 MHz:

⤢ ВІДКРИТИTo say this is an astounding result is an understatement. Second-generation Core chips aren't exactly keen on liquid nitrogen overclocking, often forcing overclockers to use milder cooling solutions.
Hopefully, d0minat0r will continue experimenting with this specific chip, and we can look forward to even more significant records in the future (and judging by comments on the result, that seems to be the plan).
