An American overclocker, known as antitux, managed to secure first place in the y-cruncher - Pi-1b discipline with an Intel Core i9-12900KF processor.
During the benchmark, the 8-core chip hit 6528MHz, cooled by liquid nitrogen. The enthusiast paired the heavily overclocked CPU with DDR5 RAM, pushing it to a significant 6827MHz with CL30.0 40-40-28 timings, although not a record. Notably, all Gracemont E-cores of the Alder Lake architecture were deactivated.
