Overclocker Splave broke his Geekbench4 Single Core world record, scoring 10342 points on a Core i9-10900KF. This was likely due to OS optimization.
Just a few days ago, we reported on American overclocker Splave's latest achievement: Splave delidded a Core i9-10900KF chip, pushed it to 7337MHz, and completed the Geekbench4 single-core benchmark with a score of 10260 points.
According to a new report, the Core i9-10900KF's frequency remained at 7337MHz. However, the final score saw a significant jump, reaching 10342 points:
The most likely reason for this significant score increase is deep operating system optimization. Top enthusiasts like Splave are masters at tweaking good old Windows 7. Still, we can't rule out a simple measurement error.
With this updated score, Splave maintained his gold medals in the Geekbench4 — Single Core discipline:
Gold in the Core i9-10900KF chip category;
Gold in the single-core category;
World record among all processors.
The overclocker's test bench included these components:
Motherboard: ASRock Z490 Aqua (with only two active RAM slots — either a unique product designed for overclockers, or Splave manually desoldered the others);
RAM: G.Skill Trident 3800C14;
Thermal paste: Thermal Grizzly Kryo LHE;
Power supply: Enermax Maxtytan 1250W.
